A Light that Lingers Still

 

The earthly thread is gently spun,

A chapter closed, her race is run.

Our hearts now bear a tender ache,

For one whom death could never take.

A Christian heart, so pure and bright,

A selfless soul, a guiding light.

Her love, a beacon, strong and true,

Reflecting skies of endless blue.

With faithful steps, she walked her way,

Embracing God with each new day.

Her passion burned, a fervent fire,

To lift us all to something higher.

She poured herself in all she did,

From gentle touch to spirit bid.

No task too great, no burden vast,

Her loving kindness everlasted.

Though shadows fall and tears may flow,

The seeds of love she helped to sow

Will bloom in hearts she held so dear,

Dispelling doubt and calming fear.

We picture now her joyful flight,

Embraced in everlasting light.

Though gone from sight, her spirit stays,

A warmth that brightens all our days.

And as we journey on below,

Her selfless love continues to flow.

A faithful guide, forever near,

A mother's love that knows no fear.
