🌿 “Come, All Who Thirst” — A Spoken Word Piece Inspired by Isaiah 55
Come, all who thirst—
not the polished, not the proud,
but the parched and the poured-out,
the ones who’ve wept in silence
and wrestled in the wilderness.
Come, buy without silver,
drink without shame.
This is not a transaction—
this is a transfusion.
For I was once a wanderer,
chasing crumbs in broken places,
but He called me beloved,
and fed me with covenant bread.
Why spend your strength on shadows?
Why chase what never satisfies?
His Word—like rain—found me,
and did not return void.
It watered my wounds,
grew gardens from grief,
and turned my mourning
into a ministry of mercy.
He said, “I will make with you
an everlasting covenant,”
and I believed Him—
not just with lips,
but with legacy.
Now I walk with a builder,
a steward of generational blessing.
Together we plant promises
in the soil of testimony,
and watch mountains sing
as we go out in joy.
His ways are higher—
not just unreachable,
but redemptive.
Not just mysterious,
but merciful.
So I speak to the thirsty:
Come.
To the weary:
Come.
To the ones who think
they’ve wandered too far—
Come.
There is bread for your brokenness,
water for your weariness,
and a Word that will not fail.
Come, all who thirst—
the invitation still stands.
And I am living proof
that His mercy still flows.
