💛 GOD IS LOVE. LOVE LIKE GOD.

A Spoken Word by Shiela

---

[Intro – Whispered reverence]

God is love.

Not just a feeling.

Not just a phrase.

But the very breath behind creation’s praise.

So I ask myself…

Have I done my best for Jesus?

---

[Part 1 – God’s Love Through the Ages]

Before the cross, before the crown,

Before the prophets wrote it down,

Love walked in Eden’s garden shade,

And even when we disobeyed—

He covered us.

Not with fig leaves sewn in shame,

But garments of grace,

A foreshadowed name.

Genesis 3:21—He clothed the fallen.

Love didn’t leave. Love kept calling.

He disciplines the ones He loves,

Not to break us, but to build us up.

Hebrews 12:6—a Father’s correction,

Not rejection, but resurrection.

---

[Part 2 – God’s Love Through His Son]

Then Love took flesh.

Not in royalty, but in humility.

Not in wrath, but in remedy.

1 John 4:10—He loved us first.

Not because we were worthy,

But because He was mercy.

Behold the Lamb—John 1:29—

Who takes away the sin of mine.

Of yours.

Of all.

He tore the veil, He bore it all.

Hebrews 10:19–20—His body, the curtain.

His blood, the confidence.

His love, the entrance.

---

[Part 3 – God’s Love Through You and Me]

Now we carry it.

Not in perfection, but in pursuit.

Not in titles, but in truth.

1 John 4:7—Let us love one another.

For love comes from God,

And we are born of Him.

So I ask again…

Have I done my best for Jesus?

Not just in Sunday songs,

But in Monday mercy.

Not just in altar tears,

But in weekday witness.

Not just in ceremony,

But in covenant.

Not just in keepsakes,

But in kindness.

---

[Closing – Heartfelt and bold]

Let my life be the answer.

Let my love be the echo.

Let my legacy be the living “yes.”

To the One who loved me first.

To the One who covered my shame.

To the One who calls me daughter.

To the One who gave me Steve,

And a vision for generations to come.

God is love.

So I will love like God.

And I will do my best for Jesus.

Until my breath becomes praise.

And my story becomes altar.

Amen.
