When the Years Felt Eaten

Introduction:

There are chapters in life that feel devoured—by grief, confusion, or delay. For me, those years were marked by quiet heartbreak, relational transitions, and the ache of longing to love sincerely again. I often asked, “Lord, what was the purpose of all this?”

Scriptural Anchor:

Joel 2:25 whispered hope into my weary heart: “I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten…”

This wasn’t just poetic—it was personal.

God began restoring not just time, but tenderness.

He revived my ability to see the good in others,

To bless through creativity,

To honor legacy through music, spoken word, and keepsakes.

Encouragement for You:

If you’re holding broken years in your hands,

Don’t hide them—offer them.

God doesn’t waste pain.

He transforms it into purpose.

Closing Prayer:

Lord, restore what feels lost.

Redeem the rhythms of our lives.

Let every tear become a testimony,

And every delay a divine preparation.

In Jesus' name. Amen.
