■ Encounter with Jesus: Introduced by Philip, Nathaniel initially questioned, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” (John 1:46). Yet when Jesus revealed intimate knowledge of him—“I saw you under the fig tree”—Nathaniel responded with faith: “Rabbi, you are the Son of God” (John 1:47-49).
